O’Reilly releases “Ruby Cookbook” : 906 pages of Ruby goodness

By Peter Cooper / July 24, 2006

O'Reilly have released the long awaited Ruby Cookbook by Lucas Carlson and Leonard Richardson, a 906 page bonanza of Ruby recipes, tips and tricks. The Perl Cookbook was an essential book for Perl programmers, and it looks like the Ruby Cookbook could become similarly important in the Ruby world.

(You might want to try the trick of using the coupon code DSUG to get 30% off again - as worked with the recent O'Reilly RJS book, if it's still valid..)

DSUG worked for me as of 5 minutes ago!

  3. joe says:

Still cheaper at Amazon: $31.49, 37% off, and free shipping.

  4. Mark says:

    O'Reilly w/DSUG: $32.50 sent UPS Ground

Amazon: $31.49 pre-order (not in stock yet) to be sent Molasses Mail.

    I went with O'Reilly.

  5. Peter Cooper says:

Also, I imagine O'Reilly and the author make tons more money even with the coupon code than if you bought it at Amazon.. so even though the coupon code screws them out of a few dollars, I think they're still ahead so can't complain too much :)

  6. Leonard Richardson says:

Lucas and I get the same royalties for every book sold, so go ahead and use the coupon. :)

  7. Peter Cooper says:

    Great news. Coupon away guys!
